The New Moon in Virgo offers a lunar day for order and practicality: a time to put things in order, organize documents and tidy up finances. Many people plan this period in advance for wealth rituals and setting intentions for abundance. On this day it’s not advisable to give things away or take on debt — it’s better to focus energy on laying foundations in every sense: material, business, and inner. A great time for deals, signing contracts, careful planning, calculations and meticulous organization of space; act thoughtfully, relying on details and a realistic plan.

Nakshatra: Purva Phalguni [until 22-04-2013 18:00:05]   Symbol: Hammock, Bed. Good for persuasion, peaceful conflict resolution, communication with authorities, creative work (art, music), rest, and relaxation. Not good for activities requiring humility, patience, or deep intellectual effort.

This nakshatra has a fierce nature and can bring destruction or grief. Activities started now may harm one’s reputation. It is suited for tough or harsh actions — conflicts, competitions, battles, risky situations, demolitions, tree cutting, digging, construction, and work involving fire, weapons, poisons, or chemicals. Avoid starting travel or taking loans.

Tithi: 12, Dwadashi [until 2013-04-23 05:19:00]   Fulfilling promises; other favorable activities (avoid oil baths and traveling). Marriage is moderately favorable.
